How to join HashSpace

HashSpace is invite-only, so that the community stays hashers. You need to be at least 18 to join due to the adult nature of the community. There are two ways in.

With an invite from a member #

Ask a hasher you know who’s already on HashSpace to invite you. They can send you a link, show you a QR code, or have the site email you an invite.

  1. Open the invite link or scan the QR code. It takes you to the sign-up page with your invite code already filled in. If you were given just a code, go to the sign-up page, enter it under Have an invite code? and click Continue.
  2. Fill in the sign-up form: a username, your email address and a password (each typed twice where asked), your Hash Name and your Home Hash (the kennel you run with most). Your hash name is what other members see.
  3. Accept the Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Policy, then sign up.

You’re signed in straight away. There is no confirmation email to wait for and no approval step.

Each invite works for one person, once, and expires 30 days after it was sent. If yours has expired, ask the member to send it again.

If you were a member of an earlier HashSpace #

Accounts from the earlier versions of HashSpace weren’t carried over to this site as many were long dormant. If you had one, you can ask for an invite yourself. You will need to have access to the original email you used on HashSpace:

  1. Go to the sign-up page.
  2. Under Had an account on the old HashSpace?, enter the email address you used back then and click Email me an invite.
  3. Check your inbox, including the spam folder. If the address is on my list of former members, an invite arrives within a few minutes. It expires after 30 days.

The page shows the same message whichever address you enter, so it can’t be used to find out who was a member. If nothing arrives, try any other addresses you used back then, or ask a current member to invite you.

If you already have an account on this site, you’ll get an email reminding you of your username instead of an invite.
